Dave Dunn

Dave is Music Rocks Academy, Business Director. Dave is the visionary who has brought this music lesson concept to life. Dave has 27 years experience in the hockey training business and has brought that knowledge over to Music Rocks Academy. He has had the opportunity over those years to help people of all ages reach their potential. Dave plays drums, percussion and bodhran. Dave see's Music Rocks Academy as a way to encompasses two passions: seeing people reach their potential and giving the gift of music. Dave believes that it comes down to teaching the students that they can achieve anything through hard work and dedication.

Maurice Hashie

Maurice "Moe" Hashie is Music Rocks Academy Musical Director. Moe is a talented multi-instrumentalist, who plays drums, guitar and bass. He has been teaching music part-time for 19 years. Maurice has been a drummer for 30 years; has played guitar, percussion and bass for 17 years. Maurice loves working with people of all ages and has been a youth worker for 19 years. He is also an established studio musician who has worked with many artists all over the Maritimes, including his band Edge, Catherine MacLellan, Philip MacLellan of Gen-Mac Enterprises, David Rashed of Haywire fame, Angele Hache-Rix, Stephanie Mainville and many others. Maurice lives in Summerside with his daughter Marissa. He will be teaching advanced drums, percussion and acoustic guitar.

Ben Boulter

Ben is a multi-instrumentalist from Crapaud, who has been playing drums for twenty years, guitar for thirteen years and bass for eight years. He also has experience playing in many bands over the last seven years. Ben will be teaching beginner drums, acoustic guitar and bass guitar.

Natalie Griffith

Natalie is a voice teacher living in Summerside. Born and raised in Manitoba, she studied with various voice teachers for many years, including four years at the Eckhardt-Gramatté Conservatory of Music in Manitoba. She holds certificates in Grade 8 Voice and Grade 4 Theory from Conservatory Canada. Natalie also has extensive choral experience and now directs the choir at the Summerside Community Church. This is Natalie's second year teaching voice lessons. She performs regularly at community functions and Wyatt Heritage Properties' events, including the annual Christmas Tranquility.

Sara-Jane Lynch

Sara Jane has played piano for 12 years, beginning at the age of 7. She has completed all 10 levels of Royal Conservatory, and was playing University level piano her last two years of private lessons. Her two wonderful piano teachers pushed Sara Jane to her limit, allowing her to expand her ability and talent. She was competitive for all of the 12 years, and her biggest accomplishment was winning the Seniors Piano Award for all of East Prince, when she was in grade 11. She has been to many Provincial competitions, and she enjoys playing very much! She has been enjoying teaching piano this past year and says it is amazing to watch students talents grow, and she can see so much in their futures. She loves being able to pass her knowledge for piano onto her students. Sara Jane finds teaching piano a very rewarding experience, and says she is lucky and thankful to have such wonderful and talented students, with hopefully more to come! She is currently studying Nutrition at the University of Prince Edward Island.
