Acoustic Guitar

From the Delta blues sound of Robert Johnson to the folk styling's of Joni Mitchell and James Taylor to the modern acoustic sounds of Michael Hedges and Dave Matthews or what ever your style you prefer, this course is a must for the acoustic guitarist.
Guitar for the Complete Beginner
This class is designed for guitarists of all ages who have no or very limited playing experience. Basic guitar skills such as positioning, tuning, chords, strumming, and single note playing are learned. Songs from a variety of styles including, rock, blues, folk and others are studied while applying skills learned in class.
Lead Electric Guitar
This class is tailored for the beginner to the advanced. Some of the topics covered include: tablature, bar chords, scales, sight reading, guitar picking, lead guitar picking, blues riffs, rock riffs, strumming, playing to a metronome, playing along to a CD, jamming, different hand techniques.
Rhythm Electric Guitar
The class is tailored for the beginner to the advanced. Some of the topics covered include: basic chords, tablature, bar chords, scales, sight reading, guitar picking, different riffs, strumming, playing to a metronome, playing along to a CD, jamming, different hand techniques.
Bass Guitar
Bass players of all levels will benefit from this course. Bass skills needed to play many styles are covered. Topics include chord progressions, creating bass lines, improvisation, ear training, and theory. Bass techniques such as slapping, popping, and chords are also explored.
Drums/Percussion
Designed for drummers of all levels, this intensive course covers all styles of music. Conducted in group and private lessons, students will study groove, technique, syncopation, polyryhthms, brush technique, soloing, reading, double bass drum techniques, and other drum and percussion concepts.
Piano
Piano players of all levels will work with instructors and study many styles of music. Curriculum topics include triads, intervals, chord voicings, inversions, chord progressions, scales, modes and more.
Vocals
For vocalists this course is designed to develop individual vocal style, expand vocal range and increase overall vocal ability while learning to sing the songs you enjoy. Learn techniques that are used in singing pop, jazz, blues, rock, country, and folk. Topics include chest, middle, and head voice, breathing, vibrato, licks and trills, and daily warm ups and more.
Fiddle
Designed for fiddle players from beginner to advanced, this course teaches the Old Tyme or the "Don Messer" style of fiddle playing. Conducted in group or private lessons, this fiddle course teaches two different methods of learning the fiddle through Tabs and learning and reading Sheet Music. Students will learn backup fiddle, chords on the fiddle, bowing, different bowing patterns and different positions on the bow. Also taught is some Cape Breton, Irish, and Scottish style of fiddle.
Mandolin
This class is for all players from beginner to the advanced. Conduced in group or private lessons this course will teach chords, basic picking, rhythm, the chop, different chords, advanced picking. parts of the mandolin, care of the mandolin, reading tabs as well as sheet music.
